Jakarta, April 29 -- Indonesia's Coordinating Ministry for Legal, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections has emphasized the importance of supervising and assisting prospective Hajj pilgrims, starting from the pre-departure stage.
Assistant Deputy for Immigration Governance at the ministry Achmad Brahmantyo Machmud said the government wants to ensure that Hajj pilgrims depart legally, safely, and with guaranteed documentation.
"Therefore, (we need to) strengthen supervision points, including at immigration inspection points," he added at an immigration coordination meeting here on Friday, according to a statement released by the ministry here on Tuesday.
