Indonesia, Dec. 17 -- Indonesia's Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) has pledged to strengthen controls against illegal activities, including unlicensed mining and trading of state-owned land and forests, in the Nusantara Capital City (IKN), East Kalimantan.
"The authority is committed to realizing IKN as a city that is orderly under the law, safe, and sustainable for future generations," OIKN Secretary Bimo Adi said on Wednesday.
Throughout 2025, a task force conducted public outreach and education, installed prohibition signs at vulnerable locations, and took enforcement action against various illegal activities across the IKN area.
