Jakarta, Dec. 6 -- The Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) has begun fast-tracking plans to restore public facilities and homes damaged by severe flooding in Aceh, aiming to ensure rehabilitation moves forward without delays once emergency response efforts conclude.

"This acceleration is not intended to bypass the emergency phase, but to run in parallel so there is no gap when rehabilitation and reconstruction begin," Imran, the ministry's Director General for Rural Housing, said in a statement on Saturday.
