Jakarta, March 16 -- Indonesia's Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA) Ministry shared several best practices in improving digital access for women at the side event of the 69th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW).
"Currently, women still face challenges in various sectors, particularly in the economic sector," the ministry's Deputy for Gender Equality, Amurwani Dwi Lestariningsih, said in a statement here on Sunday.
To encourage inclusive economic development, Indonesia promotes women's empowerment through the development of the micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) sector, she said.
Through the MSME development, the Indonesian government encourages women to be economically independent.
