Jakarta, April 3 -- The Indonesian government, on Thursday, sent off the third phase of humanitarian assistance for victims of the 7.7-magnitude earthquake that devastated Myanmar last week.

The aid package, weighing 124 tons and valued at Rp20.89 billion, comprises ready-to-eat meals, medicines, health equipment, and other basic needs such as blankets and emergency tents.

"As instructed by Mr President, Indonesia sends its assistance to our brothers and sisters (in Myanmar), and it is also part of the aid we sent on March 31," Foreign Minister Sugiono, representing President Prabowo Subianto for the send-off ceremony, stated at Jakarta's Halim Perdanakusuma Airfield.
