Jakarta, Dec. 27 -- The Indonesian Ministry of Environment has mobilized 25 trucks carrying 10,000 gallons of drinking water to several areas in Aceh Province as part of the ongoing response to the recent widespread floods and landslides.
In a statement cited in Jakarta on Saturday, Minister of Environment Hanif Faisol Nurofiq noted that the truckloads of aid were deployed to the regions most severely affected by the disasters to accelerate post-disaster emergency measures.
"We hope this shipment of assistance will help strengthen the government's concrete emergency and recovery efforts," he said.
