Blora, Aug. 22 -- The Muria Raya Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) has deployed 13 firetrucks to extinguish the fire at an illegal oil well in Gandu Village, Bogorejo Sub-district, Blora District, Central Java.
"These dozens of fire trucks come from the BPBDs of Rembang, Pati, Kudus, Grobogan, and Jepara Districts," Acting Head of the Blora BPBD, Mulyowati, said in Blora on Friday.
According to her, cross-regional assistance is crucial to prevent water supply disruptions, as had occurred previously.
"Today, we are preparing to put out the fire with support from Pertamina technicians. Thirteen 5,000-liter tankers are on standby at the location. Hopefully, the water supply will not be interrupted this time," she said.
