Jakarta, Sept. 3 -- Indonesia's National Alms Agency (Baznas) and Egypt's Mish Al Kheir Foundation have sent 10 truckloads of basic supplies to Palestinians in Gaza, where residents face shortages under Israel's blockade.
The trucks left Cairo for Rafah in two groups of five on Aug. 19 and Aug. 28, Baznas said in a statement on Wednesday.
They carried about 15,000 packages of food and essentials for civilians struggling to obtain staples amid Israel's military campaign in the enclave.
"Praise be to God, we can send 15,000 aid packages in collaboration with Mish Al Kheir. Hopefully, the delivery will face no obstacles and ease the burden of our brothers and sisters in Gaza," Baznas Head Noor Achmad said.
