Jakarta, March 12 -- An Indonesian minister has underscored the importance of tightening regulations and increasing supervision to protect children on digital platforms.
Children face the risk of exposure to negative content and online bullying on social media platforms, Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Meutya Hafid stated.
"This crisis is happening right now. Our children are losing focus, becoming addicted to social media, and growing increasingly vulnerable to online exploitation," she remarked in a statement issued on Wednesday.
