Jakarta, June 30 -- The Indonesian government is committed to expanding equitable internet access nationwide to ensure younger generations benefit from digital infrastructure and improved educational opportunities.
This was conveyed by Wayan Toni Supriyanto, Director General of Digital Infrastructure at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, in a statement on Monday.
He said the ministry is actively supporting Sekolah Rakyat - a tuition-free school program - as part of a national strategy to broaden educational access and accelerate digital transformation, particularly in remote regions.
"With digitalization, especially through Sekolah Rakyat, these communities will have new opportunities to grow," Supriyanto said.
