Indonesia, Aug. 22 -- Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka has instructed the immediate resumption of school activities in Poso, Central Sulawesi, following the 5.8-magnitude earthquake that struck the region last Sunday (17/8).

The instruction was delivered during his visit to earthquake victims sheltered at a football field and an elementary school in Tangkura Village, South Poso Pesisir Sub-district, Poso District, on Friday.

"I have observed the temporary classrooms and the school building damaged by last week's quake. I instructed the principal to restart school activities as normal," Gibran said while visiting Tangkura 1 Elementary School.
