Jakarta, Jan. 20 -- Indonesia's tourism industry won dozens of international awards early this year, signaling growing global recognition of the country's destinations, services and sustainability efforts, Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana said.

During January 2026, Indonesia secured awards across 32 categories from 25 international organizations and institutions, according to a ministry statement confirmed in Jakarta on Tuesday.

The awarding bodies included TripAdvisor, Rough Guides, U.S. News, Forbes, Conde Nast Traveler, BBC, Tatler Travel, Travel + Leisure India, Luxury Escapes, Afar Media and Net-a-Porter, among others.
