Jakarta, Aug. 29 -- Several Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) personnel stepped in to ease tensions and invite demonstrators to dialogue during a protest staged by residents at the Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob) headquarters in Jakarta on Friday.

In the morning, a crowd - mostly online motorcycle taxi (ojol) drivers - gathered outside the headquarters, throwing objects in protest over the death of an ojol driver who was run over by a Brimob tactical vehicle during a demonstration the previous night.
