Jakarta, Feb. 14 -- Eighteen countries have confirmed their participation in the Indonesia International Search and Rescue (IISAR) 2026 event, scheduled to take place from April 9-12, 2026, at Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2 in Tangerang, Banten.

"These 18 countries have confirmed they are ready to send representatives from their respective search and rescue (SAR) offices. They come from Europe, the Americas, Southeast Asia, and, of course, the Global South," said Mohammad Syafii, Head of the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas), in Tangerang, Banten, on Saturday.

Initiated by Basarnas, IISAR 2026 is expected to be attended by representatives from a total of 30 countries.
