Makassar, June 24 -- Head of the Indonesian Quarantine Agency Sahat Manaor Panggabean held a meeting with exporters in Makassar, South Sulawesi, on Monday to discuss the region's export challenges.

The meeting, themed "Synergy in Optimizing Quarantine Services: Ensuring the Safety of Animal, Fish and Plant Commodity Trade," aimed at strengthening South Sulawesi's export performance.

"We know South Sulawesi has many high-quality export commodities, and we want to encourage direct exports from Makassar to destination countries, without transiting through Surabaya," Panggabean remarked.
