Jakarta, Feb. 12 -- Indonesia's Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said he has not been involved in further discussions regarding the settlement of debt owed to China for the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway project, known as Whoosh.

"I have not been summoned with regard to that matter," he told reporters after attending the Economic Outlook 2026 event in Jakarta on Thursday.

Purbaya said the most recent discussion concerned a plan to allocate part of the State Budget to partially repay the approximately 7 billion US dollars owed by project operator PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia-China (KCIC) to the China Development Bank.
