Jakarta, Jan. 4 -- Indonesia's presidential staff office has deployed floating water pumps to speed flood cleanup in parts of Aceh Province, underscoring central government efforts to accelerate recovery after recent floods and landslides, officials said on Sunday.
The Presidential Staff Office, or KSP, delivered 10 floating pumps to flood-hit areas of Pidie and Pidie Jaya Districts on Saturday, working alongside the military and police to clean homes and public facilities.
KSP senior expert Iwan Eka said the deployment aimed to ensure government assistance delivered tangible benefits for residents still struggling with standing water, mud and damaged infrastructure.
