Jakarta, Dec. 8 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to visit Islamabad on December 8-9 at the invitation of Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The trip will be Prabowo's first to Pakistan since taking office in October 2024, the Pakistani Embassy in Jakarta said in a press release on Monday. His predecessor, Joko Widodo, visited the country in 2018.

"This upcoming visit carries added significance as it coincides with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Indonesia," the embassy said.

Prabowo is also expected to meet President Asif Ali Zardari and senior military leaders during the visit.
