Jakarta, Nov. 10 -- President Prabowo Subianto led a reflection night ceremony at Kalibata Heroes Cemetery in Jakarta on Sunday to commemorate the 2025 National Heroes Day.

Prabowo arrived at 11:45 p.m. and stood before the Garuda Pancasila Monument with Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka before ascending the steps to lay a wreath.

The wreath bore this year's National Heroes Day theme: "My Heroes, My Role Models. I Will Carry On Your Struggle."

National Heroes Day is observed every November 10 to honor Indonesia's resistance during the Battle of Surabaya on November 10, 1945, against foreign forces seeking to undermine the country's independence.
