Jakarta, July 21 -- President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that Indonesia's government is determined to accelerate and increase cocoa cultivation, with a focus on expanding exports to foreign markets, particularly Belarus, to make the most of the rising global prices.
Prabowo brought up export plans during his meeting with Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the former president's residence in Solo, Central Java, on Sunday (July 20).
"I recently visited Belarus, a country that finds strength in its potash stocks. They need a wide range of commodities from us, including rubber and cocoa, whose prices are soaring globally. Belarus is greatly interested in our cocoa," Prabowo told the media.
