Mataram, Sept. 2 -- West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Governor Lalu Muhammad Iqbal has assured that the province remains safe and stable for tourists and investors, despite several countries issuing travel warnings for Indonesia following recent unrest.

"NTB is safe, and the situation is under control. Our people have responded to the demonstrations with restraint," he told reporters in Mataram City on Tuesday.

Iqbal downplayed the travel advisories, calling them routine precautions rather than cause for alarm. "Travel warnings are not the same as travel bans. They simply advise increased vigilance, not a halt to travel," he said.
