Nusantara, Jan. 4 -- Indonesia's future capital is building an integrated education zone alongside housing and public services, as authorities seek to ensure schools are ready before residents and civil servants fully move into Nusantara, officials said.

Head of the Nusantara Capital Authority ( Otorita Ibu Kota Nusantara, OIKN ) Basuki Hadimuljono said the development of education facilities is being carried out in parallel with other supporting infrastructure in the Core Government Center Area (KIPP).

"Education facilities are being developed at the same time as other essential services in the KIPP," Basuki said on Sunday during a visit to Sepaku, Penajam Paser Utara District, East Kalimantan.
