Jakarta, Jan. 6 -- The increase in ticket prices at the National Museum of Indonesia is intended to strengthen visitor services and ensure the preservation of collections, an official said.
"Services must continue to improve. We are committed to that principle-while ticket prices rise, facilities and the visitor experience must also show real progress," The Head of the Museum and Cultural Heritage Agency (MCB), Indira Estiyanti Nurjadin stated on Tuesday.
She expressed appreciation for the public's attention to the issue, noting: "We understand and are grateful for the strong public concern for the National Museum."
Starting January 1, 2026, the entrance fee for adult visitors rises from Rp25,000 to Rp50,000 (US$3).
