Jakarta, March 28 -- Deputy Speaker of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Eddy Soeparno expressed his commitment to intensifying discussions on the importance of environmental constitutionalism, advocating for integrating sustainability principles into Indonesia's legal frameworks.
"We will study this environmental topic further and elevate it in discussions with other MPR leaders," he stated in a press release received from the MPR here on Friday.
Soeparno made this remark during a meeting with a delegation from the Indonesia Ocean Justice Initiative (IOJI), led by Mas Achmad Santosa, a lecturer at the University of Indonesia and former deputy head of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
