Jakarta, July 24 -- Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar has praised the Smart Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) platform developed by his ministry, calling it a strategic tool for independent learning that has reached millions across the country.

"Happy 3rd anniversary to Smart MOOC. This is an extraordinary learning platform that reaches millions of participants every year from all regions of the country," he said in a video message from Jakarta on Thursday.

Smart MOOC is designed as a competency development platform for civil servants (Aparatur Sipil Negara/ASN) within the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
