Jakarta, Feb. 10 -- Manpower Minister Yassierli urged vocational training centers (BLKs) to facilitate their training participants' access to employment through stronger networking.

In a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday, he emphasized that BLKs must go beyond merely providing training and issuing certificates; they must actively help participants break into real job opportunities.

"We must do our utmost to ensure that these centers function as they are intended: as hubs for vocational training, innovation, entrepreneurship, and productivity development," the minister remarked.

To this end, he underscored that BLKs need to take on a broader role that goes beyond teaching to include paving the way into employment.
