Jakarta, Sept. 16 -- The General Elections Commission (KPU) has revoked KPU Decree Number 731 of 2025, which classified 16 documents required for presidential and vice-presidential candidate registration as exempt from public disclosure without the candidates' consent.

"We decided to revoke KPU Decree No. 731 of 2025 concerning the designation of confidential documents required for presidential and vice-presidential candidate pairs," KPU Chairman Mochammad Afifuddin said here on Tuesday.

His office has coordinated with several parties, including the Central Information Commission (KIP), regarding the decision on the exemption of public information.
