Jakarta, Jan. 6 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has confirmed that the country's fuel supply has not been significantly affected by the United States' military operation in Venezuela last weekend.
Director General of Oil and Gas at the ministry, Laode Sulaeman, said Indonesia does not rely on Venezuelan crude oil imports.
"Our crude oil is not sourced from Venezuela, but from other regions. Therefore, our fuel supply remains stable," Sulaeman said on Monday (January 5).
Although the government has not identified any direct impact from the escalation in Venezuela on domestic fuel availability or prices, he said contingency measures have been prepared to anticipate any potential developments.
