Jakarta, Sept. 22 -- Chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Agency (BKSAP) of Indonesia's House of Representatives (DPR), Mardani Ali Sera, expressed support for the Global Sumud Flotilla humanitarian mission to deliver aid to Palestinians in Gaza.

He said the participation of Indonesian citizens in the mission sends a strong message to the international community that solidarity with Palestine arises from the people, not only from the state.

"We pray for the safety of all participants in the flotilla mission. Their struggle is a voice of humanity, reminding the world that the suffering of the Palestinian people should not be ignored," he said in a statement on Monday.
