Jakarta, Feb. 3 -- Indonesia's potential financial contribution to the US-backed Board of Peace (BoP) would be sourced from the Ministry of Defense's budget, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said in Jakarta on Tuesday.

"Yes, it will definitely go through the Ministry of Defense," Purbaya told reporters.

He said the government has yet to decide the exact amount of the contribution or whether funding from other State Budget allocations may be used.

Purbaya added that budget reallocation remains an option if the required funding exceeds the fiscal capacity of the Ministry of Defense.

"We will see later. If it is not sufficient, we will reorient the budget. What matters is that we will maintain prudent fiscal management," he said.
