Jakarta, June 24 -- Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund, Danantara, has expressed interest in forming partnerships with South Korea's media and entertainment industry.

Danantara Chief Investment Officer Pandu Sjahrir said on Tuesday that the fund aims to study South Korea's strategies for building a globally successful media and entertainment sector.

"The media industry's role is fascinating - it has globalized the Korean language through music, films, and other content, despite South Korea's relatively small population," he noted.

Sjahrir added that Danantara is exploring investment collaborations with South Korean media and entertainment companies to help bring Indonesian culture to the global stage.
