Jakarta, Oct. 21 -- Under the leadership and directives of President Prabowo Subianto, Indonesia's creative economy has shown significant growth and made major contributions to the national economy, according to Creative Economy Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya.
Speaking to the press at the Friends of Creative Economy event in Jakarta on Tuesday, Harsya said that in 2025, the creative economy contributed 5.69 percent to the national gross domestic product (GDP).
He added that Indonesia exported US$12.89 billion worth of creative economy products, achieving 49 percent of the US$26.4 billion export target. The sector also created around 26.4 million jobs this year.
