Jakarta, Oct. 27 -- Drug distribution in Indonesia has become increasingly diverse and is now targeting students, the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) has warned.

BNN head Commissioner General Suyudi Ario Seto said narcotics are no longer distributed only in conventional forms but are also disguised as candies, drinks, and electronic cigarettes or vapes.

Speaking at the National Anti-Drug Camp in Jakarta on Saturday, Seto urged students to stay vigilant and resist the temptation to experiment with harmful substances.

"Trying drugs even once can lead to addiction. Over time, drug use can damage the brain, physical health, and mental well-being, and in many cases, it can lead to death," he said in a statement issued on Monday.
