Jakarta, March 7 -- Indonesia's National Alms Agency (Baznas) is implementing the Habitable House (RLHB) program during the holy month of Ramadan, aiming to renovate the homes of 100 alms beneficiaries in 12 provinces across the country.
In a statement issued on Friday, the agency said that the targeted provinces include those located on the islands of Bangka Belitung, Sumatra, Java, Sulawesi, and Papua.
"Housing is a basic need for humans," said Saidah Sakwan, Baznas' head of distribution and utilization.
She added that a safe and comfortable home allows alms beneficiaries to live better and become more productive.
"Hence, Baznas remains committed to assisting those in need, especially in this blessed month," she said.
