Jakarta, Feb. 18 -- Indonesia's National Alms Agency (Baznas) reported disaster relief goods, equipment, and services for 142,079 residents affected by floods and landslides that struck Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra last November.
"As of early February, as many as 142,079 people have reaped direct benefits from Baznas assistance," Head of Baznas' Distribution and Utilization Division Saidah Sakwan noted in a statement cited in Jakarta on Wednesday.
She explained that the figure is the accumulation of disaster victims covered by the Baznas relief initiative from the emergency response period through the ongoing recovery and rehabilitation stage, with further expansions projected.
