Jakarta, Sept. 25 -- The government seeks to bring the draft of a presidential regulation (Perpres) on artificial intelligence (AI) to the harmonization phase at the end of September 2025, Deputy Communication and Digital Affairs Minister Nezar Patria said.

"We at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs have set a target to begin deliberations on legal principles by the end of September. There will be harmonization, which involves reassessing the Perpres to ensure it does not contradict other regulations," he remarked.
