Jakarta, July 29 -- The Coordinating Ministry for Food has said that the 80,000 Red and White Village Cooperatives established across Indonesia are expected to generate more than 1.4 million new jobs.

These will include 240,000 manager positions, 400,000 staff roles, and 240,000 supervisor posts, along with job opportunities for 560,000 workers at business units, said Deputy for Coordination of Food Trade and Distribution at the ministry, Tatang Yuliono, in Jakarta on Monday.

"The recruitment will be carried out by stakeholders at the regional level to ensure alignment with each area's local potential," he added.
