Jakarta, July 1 -- The direction of Indonesia's economic and fiscal policy strategies for 2026 will center on strengthening national resilience, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati has said.

"When we are unable - and will never be able - to control global conditions, then national resilience must be enhanced," she stated during the 21st Plenary Session of the House of Representatives (DPR) in Jakarta on Tuesday.

She explained that the main focus of the 2026 policies will include achieving food and energy self-sufficiency, improving the quality of education, accelerating national industrialization, and meeting other strategic objectives.
