Jakarta, Sept. 7 -- Indonesia's Foreign Ministry confirmed that the coffin of Zetro Leonardo Purba, the late staff member of the Indonesian Embassy in Lima shot dead last week, will be repatriated on Tuesday, September 9.

Ministry Spokesperson Vahd Nabyl A. Mulachela said that the authority is coordinating with the funeral home and the specialised human remains cargo service for Purba's return.

"If everything goes smoothly, we expect his body to arrive in Indonesia on September 9, 2025," Mulachela stated in his video message broadcast on Sunday.

He also confirmed that Purba's body had undergone an autopsy several days ago.
