Jakarta, April 15 -- Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia reaffirmed Indonesia's commitment to reducing carbon emissions, in contrast to the US' decision to withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement.

"Indonesia will always be part of implementing that commitment (of reducing emissions), but with great caution," he stated at the opening of the Global Hydrogen Ecosystem Summit & Exhibition 2025 in Jakarta, Tuesday.

Lahadalia stated that the commitment is emphasized in President Prabowo Subianto's vision regarding energy sovereignty through exploring and intensifying new and renewable energy sources.
