Jakarta, Dec. 29 -- Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian stated that the government has so far facilitated the reissuance of around 63,000 civil registry documents for residents affected by floods and landslides in several regions of Sumatra.

The documents include family cards (KK), identity cards, birth certificates, death certificates, and other civil registry documents requested by affected communities.

"For damaged or lost documents, we are replacing them, and this process is already underway. As of today, 63,230 documents have been issued free of charge," he said during a press conference at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta on Monday.
