Jakarta, Dec. 30 -- Indonesia has recorded zero terrorist attacks throughout 2025, with the Indonesian Police's Special Detachment 88 (Densus 88) counterterrorism corps playing a significant role in this milestone for the third consecutive year.

"Densus 88 has helped maintain 'zero terrorist attack' status from 2023 to 2025 through proactive law enforcement," Indonesian Police's Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) Chief Commissioner General Syahardiantono stated during the Police's year-end briefing on Tuesday.

The police corps has arrested 51 terror-related suspects in 2025, down from 55 in 2024 and 147 in 2023, he noted.
