Jakarta, June 13 -- The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries reiterated Indonesia's commitment to sustainable ocean management at the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC-3) at Port Lympia, Nice, France.
"Indonesia is committed to marine protection and sustainable blue economic development," Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono stated at the event, according to a statement from here on Friday.
Speaking at the conference held on June 9-13, Trenggono emphasized the urgent need for global cooperation to address challenges such as ocean warming, rising ocean acidification, declining fish stocks, and pollution.
