Jakarta, Oct. 13 -- The government is finalizing the formulation of a presidential instruction (Inpres) to fast-track the development of outlets, warehouses, and other supporting facilities for cooperatives under the Red and White Cooperatives (KDMP) program.
In Jakarta on Monday, Cooperatives Minister Ferry Juliantono stated that the government would involve state-run food company PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara and the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) in developing such facilities, as agreed upon in a memorandum of understanding.
He pointed out that the construction of these facilities is also projected to empower local contractors and villagers.
