Jakarta, Sept. 13 -- Indonesia's Manpower Minister Yassierli has called on the younger generation to prepare for future employment challenges, particularly in the field of green jobs.
He said the effort aligns with Indonesia's Golden Indonesia 2045 vision of becoming a developed nation and one of the world's five largest economies.
"To achieve this vision, students have a crucial role and must be prepared starting now. This is a challenge we must face together," Yassierli said in a statement issued on Saturday.
The minister noted that by 2045, green jobs are expected to dominate Indonesia's employment structure. However, many universities have yet to adapt their curricula to develop graduates with the necessary green skills.
