Jakarta, June 4 -- The Indonesian Ministry of Environment is committed to tackling plastic pollution through international cooperation, while carefully balancing this with the nation's economic reliance on plastic use.
The ministry's director of waste reduction and circular economy development, Agus Rusli, stated that Indonesia actively pushes for stronger global resolutions on plastic pollution in various international forums, including the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA).
This also involves managing sustainable funds for plastic control, especially ahead of World Environment Day 2025.
