Jakarta, Nov. 12 -- Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) Speaker Puan Maharani has urged MIKTA member countries to take concrete measures to help restore global peace, which continues to be undermined by ongoing armed conflicts, including in Palestine.

"At this rate, the humanitarian consequences arising from conflicts in Palestine, Ukraine, Sudan, Yemen, and other parts of the globe have drawn the world's attention," she remarked in Seoul, South Korea, on Wednesday.

Maharani raised the concern during the 11th MIKTA Speakers' Consultation forum, which brought together parliamentary leaders from Mexico, Indonesia, South Korea, Turkiye, and Australia.
