Jakarta, Jan. 19 -- The Ministry of Transportation has emphasized the importance of equal service and accessibility in public transportation as part of Indonesia's national decarbonization strategy for the transportation sector.
Transportation Ministry official Tatan Rustandi said in Jakarta on Monday that efforts to reduce emissions rely not only on technological advances, but also on the quality of transportation services directly experienced by the public.
"Convenience and equal service are key to encouraging people to shift from private vehicles to public transportation," he said.
