Jakarta, Dec. 21 -- Indonesia's Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono has called for an active role from cattle farmer associations to bolster beef production in support of the government's food self-sufficiency goal.
The deputy minister highlighted that food self-sufficiency is currently a major focus for the government, covering all food sectors, from food crops to livestock.
"Cattle farmer associations, as the government's strategic partners, play a key role in supporting national food self-sufficiency," he said in a statement on Sunday.
