Jakarta, May 3 -- The Indonesian National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) is currently focusing on implementing a balanced approach that combines hard and soft measures to prevent potential terrorism threats.
At the Global Security Forum (GSF) in Doha, on Wednesday (April 30), the agency's Deputy for International Cooperation, Andhika Chrisnayudhanto, stated that the threat of terrorism in Indonesia persists, even after the dissolution of the radical organization Jamaah Islamiyah (JI).
"A balanced approach prevents potential threats that have not disappeared after the disbandment of JI as well as the trend of lone wolf threats and youth radicalization," Andhika noted in his statement.
